My mom is turning 50! (her birthday hasn't happened yet, so lets not say she's fifty just YET)
She wanted a weekend with all her chicks (except one in Mexico, who COULDN'T make it) back in the nest. Darren, Luke, Karston, and I all headed to Vtown for the weekend.
Man alive it is FREEZZZZZING there. We bundled up and headed out for dinner. Dinner was great, then the fiasco... Luke was D.O.N.E. with dinner and was screaming. Burk and Teera did something that just ticked my mom off (maybe like picking up the tab). So Teera and her were in the corner pulling for the check as L's cries seemed to get louder and louder. Then, the keys to the car seem to go missing. Cries getting louder. Finally the keys were found, the check was resolved, and we could take the screaming toddler out of the restaurant to go get ready for the party, and the fiasco could end. :)
My friend Nicole made this cake for my mom. Isn't it beautiful?! It was delicious too. Thanks girl!
We had a small get together with some of my mom's friends, and their husband's of course but they didn't pose for a picture.
Aren't these two love birds uh-dorable???? I must say I admire how much they love each other. My dad still adores this woman, and I have no doubt why. They are such great parents and examples.
My dad did something extra extra special for this birthday. I have her reaction on video, but I didn't get permission to post it on the world-wide-web. Let's just say there were some tears. Great job dad!
The rest of the weekend was filled with pedicures, Toy Story, forts, and DanceCentral. There is footage of each of us dancing, but those will never be out in public. Ok, maybe Karston doing Maneater should make an appearance, but that's about it.
I hope my mom enjoyed the weekend with all of us home. Even though it was her weekend, she still fed us all pancakes, changed every poopy diaper, bathed Luke, made us all dinner, and let her house get cluttered really really fast. So thanks mom & dad for the great weekend. Soooo glad we all love to be together.
Happy 50th Birthday Mom! Loves you.
