my friends & a shower

lately, i've been thinking about what it means to be a good friend.  i want to be known as a good friend {i'm far from this BTW}.  i know MANY people who are great examples of a "good" friend. they are loyal, true, forgiving, supportive, laugh with you, cry with you, and most important love you.

i've made lots of friends {and continue to make friends} over my lifetime.  {childhood friends, college friends, work friends, married friends, church friends, kid friends, blog friends, family friends,  and friends who are family}  i love each of my friends for who they are.  even in the last six months i have found myself doing and thinking lots of different things because of them.

i've tried to be strong for them- when i knew they weren't.
i've cried so hard because of their pain- i couldn't cry anymore.
i've talked with them for hours {and hours} about drama or difficulties in life.
i've screamed so loud with excitement i swear my whole neighborhood could hear me.
i've worried so much about them, that i couldn't sleep.
i've laughed with them to the point of almost peeing my pants.
i've shared spiritual moments with them that will always be cherished.

and

they have babysat for me on the spot.
they have painted my house for me.
they have helped me through teething.
they have left me a comment to brighten my day.
they have told me i look cute {when i felt far from that}
they have gone to lunch with me.
they have listened to me cry {mostly over dumb things}
they have showed love to my boys.
they have kept me in their lives.
they have loved me for me!

on friday i enjoyed something i haven't done since i was single- rode home with Marci! except a lot of things in our lives are different {for instance- there was a baby boy in the back of her car}.  one thing was the same- we talked the whole way, and maybe listened to a cd or two from when we were roommates...but we were going to celebrate with Brynna.  she's having a baby!!

she's one of my childhood friends. doesn't she look stunning 8 months prego? {i'm so jealous} and it was so fun to see lots of friends on friday night.  {yes, this is a typical pic}

oh wait. lets get you all a better shot of the tummy. its too cute to not show!

there we go! isn't she a doll? i think so.
bryn, i'm so excited for this little girl to get here! mainly so we can kiss her cheeks and love her to pieces.  your shower was BEAUTIFUL!

so to all my friends- i love you. you make my life so sweet and full.

Keish! Thanks for doing this post, you are a fabulous friend. I was so glad you were able to make it to my shower. It meant a lot to me to have my close friends there. Thanks for all you did, the decor, the favors and the adorable diaper caddy. I loved it all! I hope you had fun at the Lion King. Love you!

Keisha! This is so weird, but I actually clicked on that lady's blog a few days ago! I sent her a message asking a few questions. Evie is a candidate for a coclear implant in her left ear and I'd love to talk to her! She probably thinks I'm nuts! Thanks for sharing! I love any information I can get! Thanks for caring!
