Well folks, I'm not surprised to tell you that Darren placed very well in his triathlon this past weekend. He competed in the Vernal Dino-tri for the 2nd year and he placed 2nd in his division. With that being said, I can't believe this guy, seriously, because he "barely" trains and does so well. I would have to train for a full year everyday in order to even feel remotely confident to do one of these. He just does it on a wim, really. So here's a shout out to D!
The alarm clock went off for Darren at 5:30 AM so he could get to the high school for the shuttle to Red Fleet. He started around 7:15ish and we thought if we were at the high school by 8:15 we would be there to see him. We just barely made it. But we made it! So it was fun to see him transition from his bike to running, and then be there when he finished.
So early that Luke didn't have time to get out of his jammies.
After the race, we quickly went home and headed to Red Fleet (hoping to cool off a bit). Well we put the boat on, ate some lunch, listening to Luke scream, and went home. The water was horrible and it was windy. But still a fun way to spend the afternoon.
Luke lovin life in his life-jacket.
Luke finally happy. Binky. Driving the boat with Grandpa.
Luke loves bath time. After getting home from the lake, he needed a bath to get off all the sunscreen. I forgot to feed the child before the bath and didn't want him to get all dirty after his bath, so I fed him during bath time. It was pure bliss for this little boy.

That last picture of Luke has got to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. I love his little eyes!
