June 14, 1995 this kid was born. He was supposed to be a girl so I could have a sister. I sobbed and sobbed when I found out he was a boy. My mom and and dad checked me out of school, I was 9, to go with them to find out boy or girl. This was not happening to me. I needed a sister to play with. I was sick of playing Nintendo, watching baseball, all sports for that matter, and smelling gross boys. Karston and Korbin had each other (they are 18 months apart) and I had no one. My life was going to be full of dumb boys.
That's what I thought 15 years ago, and honestly I'm so stupid for ever thinking that. This boy pictured above is one of my best friends. I'm serious when I say that. Since the day he was born, there has been a special connection between the two of us. We shared a room forever. I was a wimp and wouldn't sleep downstairs by myself till like 10th grade. So I slept with Fuzz. He was my buddy. I helped potty train this guy. As he has grown up, I've always stuck up for Fuzz. It's hard being the little brother to Karston and Korbin sometimes. So I was always there.
I think his heart was broken when the reality of me leaving for college and home all together came around. I remember him sobbing the night before I left. It is a moment I will never forget. I did come home my first summer after college and was welcomed home with a big sign on the garage made by my Fuzzy telling me "Welcome Home." Such a sweet boy. He's always showed me how much he loves me, he's very tender hearted.
As I now watch him as a teenager and a boy entering the dating stage of his life, I often think "Where has the time gone?" My Fuzzy can't be liking girls!! He can't be in junior high and now high school. But he's ready.
So many people tell me what a great kid he is, and they are right. He's a great egg.
So Fuzz, as you go through these next couple of years... I will still be checkin up on you. I will still ask you about girls and friends. I don't care if you get annoyed. I still expect giant hugs and for you to ask me if your outfit looks good. I always want to you to love and play with "Lukesy" and make him laugh so hard his belly hurts. And finally... Please remember one thing, I'm so glad I have you as a brother!!
