Feeding Therapy: First session

Luke had his first session with Kristyn yesterday.  It went "well"...

Luke had a tantrum for the first 30 minutes and it was the most upset I've ever seen him.  Kristyn was phenomenal in handling him.  He tried to escape at first but she calmly kept him at the table and after awhile he complied with her.

I was his biggest reinforcement.  If he stayed calm, I was able to stay by him.  He took multiple bites of rice.  The beans he would put in him mouth and then immediately spit them out.

Kristyn said it went better than she expected.

I definitely know he needs this therapy.  But man alive, it kills me to watch him screaming like that.  Yesterday was definitely not one of my favorite days.  But I know this is something that can greatly impact Luke's life for good.

Being a mom is tough business.
