slipping away

"summer" is slowing slipping away.  but i'm enjoying the slower days we've been having lately.

we spent our first weekend just the three of us in what has seemed like eternity.  luke is grasping and loving more new adventures every day.  i've taken him to bridal vail by myself, but this time the rock throwing and jumping in the frigid water just seemed second nature to this boy.

it was heaven.

this kid would have been in heaven at the lake house this summer..frigid water and endless rocks.
next summer's forecast doesn't include a billion weddings (unless my brothers totally surprise us all) and missionary homecomings.

speaking of slipping...
i sing this "slippery fish" song for the kids in nursery on sunday.  they love it. marci and landon taught it to me.  its a huge hit.  well, last night as luke and i were finishing dinner (darren was in LA for business) and luke kept busting up at the song.  i'm noticing we sing a lot at the table...

do not mind my gross singing voice (and you are totally missing my hand actions... another time) and me getting mad at him for throwing a fit at the end, but i love his little gut laugh.

Oh how I love little Luke. I know I say it all the time, but he is just such a handsome guy. And I am so glad you put the song on your blog so I can learn it and sing it along with Jackson now!
