lake powell 2011

I could go on and on and on (and on) about how much we all love this place, but I won't.  Let's just get to the pictures, shall we?

Our spot.
We had the whole canyon to ourselves.  The sun didn't shine on the top deck until 10:30 am.  It was cool at night.  It was perfect.

Grandma and Grandpa made sure Luke stayed well hydrated for the week.  This kid KNOWS he get what he wants from these two.  He followed my dad around like a puppy.  Luke would go running to my mom when Darren and I would tell him it was time to go swimming.  Luke loves the water but not jumping into the big lake with a life jacket.  The deep water totally overwhelmed him this year.  I'm fine with that.  My parents made sure Darr and I got some fun in, and all around took good care of all their children-grandchildren all week.

They even brought his favorite toys from their house. Total lifesaver!

The perfect way to start any morning.

I'm pretty much obsessed with this little chica.
She has more swimsuits than I can count.  This one happened to be my favorite.

Bryn, Dev, and I all have a different trip now because of children.  It gets hard to take pictures together when we are trying to coordinate nap times, free time, sleep time, feeding time, (get the picture).  Being a mom add a totally new element to the trip, but it is still a blast.  I love these girls.

Sorry mom.  But really you should be the one saying sorry cause you clearly did this on purpose.

And for my own reference... The three of us still know how to go out and shake it like we did years ago at night, even after kid(s).

We didn't take much boarding pictures because Darr thinks they are all the same.  Same backflips, tantrums, 360s, etc.  So I skipped out on adding those...

And decided to put pictures on of what happens INSIDE the boat.

Darren brought out his hand made camera crane and took footage of the boys olleying over the sand bar.  Luke and I played in the water.

And finally the traditional family picture.  I'm slightly disappointed about the lightening etc. in the photo but you take what you can get in a floating boat at 12 in the afternoon...

Oh my heck is that the boat you stayed on? Dude, that boat camped right next to us for a few nights down escalante canyon. We were all saying how freaking nice it was! You guys made a huge upgrade! Love all the pics.

Man, that looks like so much fun! Somehow I have still never been to Lake Powell and I feel so ripped off! Your family, as always, looks adorable! And I agree... that boat looks pretty pimped out :)
