our week

We've had lots of home improvement projects going on around here this week.  Ok, really it has just been painting and some more garage shelves, but still...

not the best pictures in the world, but you get the idea.
I'm in love with my powder room!

just need to find the perfect pictures to hang over the toilet...

The painting bug continued.  We painted our master bath: Restoration Hardware "light silver sage".

It's amazing what a bucket of paint can do to a room.  Every time I paint, I think of Jenna.  There are lots of things I do that makes me think of her.  The two biggest: Chipotle and painting.

Luke is e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!
He has this new obsession with buckles.  He will spend 45 minutes (no joke) in the Subaru just buckling his car seat and then crawling to the front to drive and the cycle repeats over and over and OVER.  He loves finishing meals just so he can buckle the straps back together.  Beck was over on Friday and he was thrilled with a baby carrier to buckle.  My favorite "buckle" story of the week is at Bailey's birthday.  Bailey was in her high chair and he insisted on getting the buckles buckled for her.

And now I've just said buckled WAY too many times.

I've decided I need to take a life jacket to church with me.  It will keep the kid entertained for an entire hour.  Seriously, don't judge me if you see one in my bag.

He just figured out how to throw rocks in the river.  He laughs with pure joy and accomplishment every time he gets on in.  These are the things that make my heart melt as a mother.  It really is the simple things.

It makes all the busyness worth it.

Let me just say I'm not the biggest Studio 5 fan on the block, but I do get sucked into segments every now again.  They just finished up a campaign called "Motherhood Matters" and were doing their first ever live audience taping.  I got Marci and I tickets and we got to meet Brooke Walker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I sure can't. It was surreal. (ok, I hope you are getting by now that I'm trying to show some sarcasm)

She was super sweet and asked how long we've been friends.  A long time!!

horrible pictures for many reasons, but you got one shot!

Marci was a brave soul.  She left the little guy with Darren and Luke for 3 hours.  He was perfect.  Darren said he's ready for another...

He sent me this picture.  Oh, it makes me happy.  Look at Beck! Look at Luke!
Luke had some serious jealousy issues going on.
Beck was just wondering where the heck he was and what happened to his mom.
And can I just say how crazy it is to think Luke was once this tiny.  BLOWS MY MIND!

I'm going to end on this picture.  Beck's face just makes me smile.

love the paint! LOVE! i also love that elle, too, is buckle obsessed! we got a new car, and a new car seat (which is almost identical to her old)... alas, she just cries & cries wanting to go outside to the car & play with her new buckes:) it's been so wet outside that her high chair has to suffice her buckle cravings! :)
