On our way back from Hawaii we stopped to see Grandma Blanche.
This is Darren's (only living) grandma.
She's a sweetheart.
The whole time we were there I just kept thinking
"once a mother, always a mother"
She was still very concerned about Luke's well being, making sure he was entertained and content.
Even though she has her difficulties remembering what year it might be she still naturally knows how to mother. It's amazing how powerful motherhood really is.
