spring fever

Yesterday was beautiful!

Luke and I ventured to the big playground and realized we actually have neighbors!  Well, we already knew that we had neighbors, but we haven't seen our peeps out and about for months.  Our social depression in possibly on the mend. Wahoo!

Maybe it is the spring weather, or really it is spending a night at Marci's house who is a total neat freak (in a good way), that has got me wanting to organize and re-organize things in the house.

Luke definitely agrees that a clean home is a happy home (really it is a clean home=happy mama=happy luke= happy darren- it's a vicious equation but it is 100% accurate).  He loves all the bins that start coming out when it is time to clean.  Boys and boxes.

I'm not telling the blogging world out there these details to make you feel pity for me (even though I probably need some) but to look back and remember when george (our next child) arrives and I'm constantly trying to remember what Mr. Luke went through and ya-de-ya-da.  Because I'm forgetful! Like so forgetful, I usually forget what we had for dinner the night before.

We've spent the whole morning running around trying to get Luke feeling better.  I took him to the doctor because he's had a pretty bad cough, runny nose, diarrhea and there is lots of yucky viruses going around these days.  I was hoping she would tell me all this is due to teething because that's what I thought- and sure enough...

All we have left is our 2 year molars and it looks like they are starting to make their way up.  3 places in the gums are swollen.  This has caused and ear infection, runny nose, and all the other yucky stuff- but it isn't contagious! That's what I was hoping for.

Luke's PA today was great.  She gave us a prescription for another antibiotic, but we are going to try a different route- a natural route - this time due to the reaction he had last time. Plus 10 days of medicine gets intense.  But I count my blessings everyday, because these are small (very small) issues to be going through.

I've got great family who knows their natural remedies stuff! Its awesome.  I will let you know how it goes.

If there is one thing I've found to be 100% true- parenthood is a bumpy ride.  However, I'm treasuring the moments that "only mom can make you feel better".

I love my job.
Now, back to organizing.
