luke and darren

{i'm being a hypocrite doing this post- the "best hubby/dear/babe in the world" but i just want to write down some feelings i have right now}

so here is goes in being a hypocrite:

aren't you just in love with the photo below? i mean seriously, how lucky am i to have a photographer {jenna} follow us around all the time {i beg her btw}? but lets not get going on the situation with miss j because i get all emotional and mascara starts running because she is "moving" {she says for only 6 months or so- blah blah blah is all i hear}... okay the tears are here, it was unavoidable. but this photo captures a lot for me.

what is it about a father and son? the relationship fascinates me. i'm obsessed with it actually. i've ALWAYS had amazing examples of fathers in my life.  i think there is something so tender and sweet when a father calls his boy "son". i love it.

so now it is darren's turn to be a dad. he's molded perfectly to the job.  {he's great at everything he does btw- i'm serious ask anyone} luke and his dad are best buds. bonded for life after only knowing each other for one year.

luke prefers his dad over me when he's hurt. he says "dada dye dye" {daddy bye bye} all day long. he gets so excited to see him when darren comes home at night. and darr has the same excitement towards this little man when he comes home and right before we go to bed. its true love.

i just feel so lucky and blessed to have a husband that has his priorities in line. i might force them to a line sometimes but that's only sometimes.

luke is one lucky boy to have darren as his dad.

and i'm one lucky girl to have darren & luke as my boys!
