being prego

I've been meaning to write down the details of this pregnancy so far and haven't yet! It just seems that when I have a quiet moment, my body screams for a nap and that wins over blogging, laundry, dishes, vacuuming... you get the idea?

Here I am at 16 weeks (I'm now almost 18) and the bump is definitely making an appearance.

Being pregnant for a second time has been different.

Different in a good way.  Different in a bad way.

The first trimester was rough.  Now I'll be the first to say many MANY women have it way worse than me, but it was rough compared to Luke's.  I didn't throw-up one time with him and that hasn't been the case this time around.

One of my proudest prego moment to date was when I was throwing up and peeing my pants at the same time over the sink, while my poor brother Karston watched in horror.  Seriously, I need to apologize to all my brothers for probably exposing them to what real life marriage and women are all about.

I also loved the moment when Darr and I were getting ready for bed and he asked me this question, "so when you throw up do you like blow chunks?" Those were his exact words!!!  Right at that moment I looked at him and answered his question for him, not intentionally.  I can't eat spinach now...

But at the same time, this pregnancy has been so much easier.  I know what to expect.  I know what is normal and what isn't.  It is nice to be at home and rest when I need to.  Eat healthier foods when I want to, and nap when Luke naps.

I started feeling the baby around 16 weeks and love feeling the little flutters.  It usually happens at night when I'm enjoying a treat.

We find out on the 25th what we are having- it can't come fast enough.  I'm feeling really anxious to get going on some projects and start thinking of names!
