Maiden Voyage

I'm very excited to report that I have officially been in the water this summer!

Darr and I drove out to Vtown as soon as I was done with work on Friday because it was the first weekend of warm weather! It was so exciting to have the Malibu on the water again. I seriously love being on the boat... I'm like in heaven there.

It was our first time on the water with Karston being on his mission, and we all felt kinda lost! As soon as we got out in the water we had a moment for him... we played Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tom Petty to remind us of our favorite man!

I have to admit that it is those moments when I miss my brother the most. Karston loves the water.

I told my mom how lucky Karston is that he doesn't have to worry about splitting the cost of filling up the boat this summer we he takes it with his friends. I mean last summer it was 2.09 and now it is 4.50 to fill the boat up! Karston better be counting his blessings on that.

So my first time out on the boat last summer I got way sunburned so I was going to avoid that at all costs this summer... I soaked myself with spf 30 sunscreen and we were only on the lake for an hour and I got burned in some places (like the tip of my nose and a little on my arms) SO Annoying! I wish I could be Korb and just be tan.

I'm happy to report that boating season is officially on!
