Luke is THREE!

I can hardly believe that I have a three year old.  He is just so big.  

We kept the day fairly low key because that is just the way Luke likes it.  He woke up before Darren and I did and has this new thing where he likes to yell random things from his room to let us know he is awake.  Darren and I just needed a couple more minutes of sleep, so to start off his birthday he got to watch some Dinosaur Train on Darren's phone while we caught about 30 more minutes of quietness.  

I wasn't sure how Luke was going to do with the blowing of candles, but he rocked it this year.  We practiced on his pancakes for breakfast.  We are so sad we didn't record him blowing out the candles on his cupcake... he was so cute.  He blew each candle out one by one.  

We had the Ricks and my brothers over to celebrate.  It was the perfect crowd! Luke was spoiled this year with lots of fun presents.  They include an awesome car track from Discovery Gateway, a marble works toy, some blocks, Hungry Hungry Hippo, an aquarium lamp, an iTike keyboard, and an official Dinosaur Train!

Hadley gave him his Dinosaur Train and she was beyond cute giving it to him. We went over today to open his present and she was so excited to give it to him.  Chelsey said she tried to get her to give him a lego and other things and she kept saying "no mom, I think Luke wants a Dinosaur Train." Hadley definitely knows her Luke.  I'm so grateful for their sweet little friendship.

It was a great birthday and we love this little boy so much.
