Lake Powell

Right on queue, I'm doing the Lake Powell post.  This is an annual Fielding, King, McKittrick outing and has been happening for as long as I can remember.

Some things always stay the same, but some things are different every year.

SAME:

Cars are packed to the brim.
DIFFERENT:

This year it was packed with tons of baby gear.  I had no idea how much planning I would have to do to make sure L was comfortable.
life jackets
tons of clothes
bottle warmer
bumbo
battery operated fan
floaty
food
formula
extra formula
want me to keep going?

Stopping for some crawl time on the drive.

SAME:
Lots of hanging out on the boat.

DIFFERENT:

A little green bug was attached to someone at all times.

He loves Grandma the most on the boat.  She gave him his binky, puffs, shade, anything he needed to keep him comfy while we boarded, surfed, and cruised around.

SAME:

The boys go crazy.

The girls have fun.

Some of you might be wondering what I'm wearing, let me explain.
All of the boys, well most of them, wear jerseys over their life jackets to be cool.
So here I am being cool surfing.
I went surfing so much this trip.  I love it.  What I love more is not being pregnant this summer.

Devrie was SUPER MOM. Tyler wasn't there for the week, so she had her hands full with B and C.  She did so well.
Bryn and Chayce sunbathing.
*Bryn was amazing too.  I watched her help her sister so much with the kids. Bryn is just adorable.

There are a couple things missing from this picture.
It is tradition for Dev, Bryn, and I to go out at night and bathe (skinny dip).  Bryn made us go the last night and it was so fun! I felt like a little girl again.

DIFFERENT:

Our family photos.
We added Luke and missed Korbin.

Totally bummed about the spot in the middle.

SAME:

By the end of the trip we are exhausted from all the fun.

SHOUT OUTS:

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us with you STILL.  We love it so much and had so much fun with Luke this year.  Thanks for all your help with him, you are the best!

Thanks Rick and Denise for making this trip possible.  I'm so lucky to have the best aunts and uncles ever!

Until next year...

I can't believe we didn't get one pic of the girls together. I was searching for one while writing my post. Bummer. Wish Chayce would do that in her bed.
