16 Days

Luke and I went without our husband or father for 16 days.  Darren was having many adventures in Europe on a Study Abroad.  All 3 of us had the times of our lives.

Keisha and Baby L:

We spent the first 11 days with my IN-LAWS!!  When I told some of my friends I was doing this for that long they were shocked.  I honestly love my in-laws and know I'm truly blessed that we all get along.

We headed on our first flight alone to Seattle, and L was a champ.  We were so excited to see Karen (Bommy) and she spoiled us good!!  We were there for 5 days.

  • Cuddle time with Great-Grandma Blanche
  • Pro Club food
  • Cheesecake Factory
  • Red Mango
  • Shopping
  • Giggle time with Bommy
  • L got to play with toys his daddy used to play with
  • Dinner with Dave and Colleen

L loved the first plane ride so much that we decided to jump a plane again and head to the BAY to see the Hansens.  Boy-oh-boy did L love the Hansens!!

L had gone down for a nap and when he woke up Sophie (dog) was barking at something at the front door. We all kind of stopped to see what L's reaction would be, and to our surpise he started LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!! This went on for a good couple minutes.

I've discovered my son LOVES dogs.  We would go to the baseball games, L would see a dog and would just giggle at everything they did.  I hate to say it, but it would be fun to see him with his own dog.  Not until we have a little more space and L is a little older.

The weather was a little chillish, so we didn't feel like getting in the pool.  But we heated up the hot tub to about 99 degrees and played in there.  Don't worry it wasn't too hot for little L.

Thank Heavens for Technology!! I would have definitely gone crazy if I didn't get to Skype and IM Darren everyday.  Luke loved talking to Daddy too.

Here is a little shout out for my husband: This year he has been gone for both my birthday and Mother's day.  But he hasn't disappointed!  He took the time for Mother's Day to mail cards to Jenna's before he left the states from him and L.  He surprised me with a massage and the best part was he called me on the phone that night to tell me what a great mom I am.  (I'm usually not so mushy) Phone in Europe= money.  But he told me he didn't care... ahh ;)

Our week was busy busy busy.  Here are a few more highlights with the Hansens!

For the last 6 days, we spent it at my parents.  Luke definitely has everyone wrapped around his finger.  L loves his grandpa.  He also got spoiled with long baths everyday by grandma.  By this time in the trip, the pictures had stopped cause L was sick of posing for the camera.

Darren:

Darren did a study abroad for 2 weeks with BYU.  He visited London, Luxembourg, Paris, Prague, and Budapest. I am so proud of the pictures he took.

The Bone Church, Czech (This picture doesn't do it justice.)
