Wow is it already 2010? I can't believe we are beginning a new decade. It definitely is a new chapter and beginning for us. The Knight family is excited for what is in store for 2010. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our last weeks in 2009.
After Darren finished his 1st semester of his MBA (he did really well FYI), we headed to Vernal to spend the holidays with my family. It was very busy and crazy for Baby Luke.
Karston gave an amazing Mission Report the Sunday before Christmas and it was fun to see family and friends. I truly know the missions and missionaries are blessings in our lives.
Christmas approached and we did the traditional eat at Grandma's open PJ's etc. -- Luke even got his 1st Christmas jammies.
Getting ready to go to grandma's (great-grandma for Luke)
Christmas morning was great. We opened presents and got lots of great gifts. But the biggest present was getting to talk to Korb. He sounded so good, and definitely has a Spanish accent already! It was fun to let him hear Luke squawk over the phone, and hear Korb's little giggle for a couple of hours.
We love our missionaries and are so grateful for the service they are giving. They not only bless the people they are serving (Korb-Mexico) but also us as family back in Utah.
So not that Vernal isn't great... cause trust me- we had a lot of fun. Especially Luke getting his bath every morning from Grandma.
BUT...we all wanted to get out of the ice box. So we headed to Park City for New Years. When we got there, Braylon needed to take his nap but wanted "Baby Luke" to take a nap with him... (They are going to be best buds)
*note they both have similar blankets--Braylon's is a little more worn down. These are MAGIC blankets!! Thank you Little Giraffe for making these and for Aunt Gail giving it to Luke.
Confession: Darren and I did not stay up until midnight. 11:30 and we were all asleep. Maybe next year.
To end a wonderful holiday season, we blessed our beautiful baby boy today (Jan. 3rd). It was very emotional for me to see Darren bless our first son. Darren gave Luke a beautiful blessing. I have just felt so blessed for everything my Heavenly Father has given me.
The Berry's were kind enough to let us have a brunch at their home. It was beautiful.
The whole day was perfect.
We just feel so blessed and loved by all of our "family"-blood related or not. Life is good.
