We were able to head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for Dave & Colleen's wedding. For those of you that don't know... Dave is Darren's brother. It was an amazing weekend. We got home yesterday and when I went to upload pictures I had over 200 pictures to import for just 3 days of vacation. So I apologize in advance for all the photos.
The whole weekend was like a dream to me. I had never been to the South, and I got to experience some true "Southern Hospitality." It was awesome!
On Friday the boys headed golfing (which Darren loved!!) and we headed to a bridesmaid luncheon. The house was incredible and I felt like I was seriously in Steele Magnolias (Marci would have been in heaven cause that is her favorite movie) and the food was awesome.
Later on Friday, we had the rehearsal dinner...the food was incredible!! We couldn't get over how great the food was. Thanks Dick and Karen!! To top it off, it was at a clubhouse that was gorgeous. They definitely know how to make beautiful buildings down there.
Saturday morning/afternoon was fun to get out and see Baton Rouge. We headed to LSU to see Mike the Tiger and to go check out the capital building. It was so fun to spend time with the WHOLE Knight clan.
Saturday night was the wedding...I will post a slideshow of that incredible event.
Sunday we headed into New Orleans with the Hansens to do some sightseeing. It was fun... but by the middle of the day we were exhausted from all the wedding events.
So I can't leave this off either... Saturday night at the plantation I got eaten alive by bugs!! It is awful. I have (no kidding either) about 30 bug bites on my legs from my knees down. The worst bite is on my heel. Check it out!

How Fun! I've always wanted to go to the south. I have family in North Carolina (it's sort of the "south" and they definately have that hospitality) but I've never been:( I've been to Atlanta, Ga but only spent 2 days there. I enjoyed your photos. I love going to new places and experiencing different cultures, it's my favorite! And ouch!! Those bug bites look knarly!
